1980s denim prairie dress with puff sleeves and side seam pockets. This one buttons up the front and does appear to have been possibly shortened and hemmed by another owner. For reference - Length hits mid calf on me and I'm 5 "7." This one is in good vintage condition and would best fit modern medium - see measurements below taken while dress was flat on table:
